There's no doubt that pets are blessings in our lives, but when it comes to planning a trip, arranging care for our furry family members can be a real headache. Constantly worrying about where to leave them, what to look for in a pet care service, and how much it will cost, can cause anxiety to mount and the costs to be even higher.

The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this daunting, and Chilliwack has some awesome options for pet owners who are looking to go on a quick night away, or a longer trip. We’ve put together a list of five great pet care places – let us know about any others we might have missed!

1. Posh Paws City Kennel

Retrieved from: https://www.poshpaws.ca/

A group of pet lovers dedicated to providing a five-star experience for their furry guests, Posh Paws City Kennel assures plenty of playtime and attention.

If you’re hesitant and want to see the space before you commit, this is the place for you. When you first register, they will set up an assessment day so that they can spend some one-on-one time with your pet, getting to know them and determining which social groups they will best fit in with.

That sounds pretty promising to us!

2. Black Walnut Kennel

With 24 outdoor grass play areas for dogs to enjoy throughout the day, Black Walnut Kennel is the perfect place for those energetic pets to roam free.

Your pets will be staying in indoor/outdoor runs, with hot water floor heating in the indoor part, so that your dog can find comfort wherever they desire.

They supply all the necessities for your dog or cat, but if that’s not enough, you can bring your pet’s beloved toys for some extra comfort.

Bonus: If you’re concerned about your dog’s cleanliness after running around outside, Black Walnut Kennel also offers bathing and nail trimming for an extra charge.
