Whether you prefer donating, volunteering, or simply spreading kindness, here are local organizations making a big impact in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley this season.
Chilliwack Salvation Army
The Salvation Army supports families and seniors across Chilliwack with food hampers, emergency assistance, shelter services, and Christmas meal programs. Their annual Kettle Campaign helps fund these essential services through the winter months.

Ruth & Naomi’s Mission – Meals, Shelter & Recovery Programs
Ruth & Naomi’s provides hot meals, warm shelter, transitional housing, addiction recovery programs, and compassionate support for some of the most vulnerable in our community. Their Christmas programs help ensure no one is left out during the holidays.

Archway Food Bank
With rising food prices, local food banks are working harder than ever to support families. Donations of non-perishable food, grocery gift cards, or financial contributions help keep shelves stocked through the holidays.

Cyrus Centre – Youth Homelessness Services
Cyrus Centre supports youth aged 12–24 who are experiencing homelessness or crisis. They provide shelter, meals, counseling, clothing, and safety, especially important during cold winter nights.

Chilliwack Christmas Sharing
The Christmas Sharing program is a long-standing partnership between the Chilliwack Salvation Army and Chilliwack Community Services. Since 1987, they have worked together to provide Christmas hampers for local families in need. The Salvation Army prepares the food portion of the hamper, while Chilliwack Community Services supplies toys and gifts for children up to 18 years old.
This program helps ensure families in Chilliwack can enjoy a meaningful and joyful Christmas, regardless of financial circumstances.

SPCA – Support for Animals Over the Holidays
The BC SPCA provides rescue, shelter, medical care, and adoption services for animals in need. Donations during Christmas help support vet care and temporary housing.
